St. Gerard's School is a Catholic co-educational day school in Bray, Ireland. The student population is around 745, with 515 in the Senior School and 230 in the Junior School, and 20 in the Montessori. The school is administered by a Board of Governors as a charitable trust. The current headmaster is Tom Geraghty.

Situated on a site of approximately 60 acres overlooking Bray, St. Gerard's has a tradition of fostering excellence in academic achievement and sport and in developing the skills and confidence of the student. The school aims to nurture the moral, spiritual, cultural and physical development of each individual to her or his full potential. The family, as the primary educator, shares responsibility for the students’ education by supporting the values and ethos of the school. Since 1918 St. Gerard's has been providing an education for children from all over Ireland and from overseas.
The school is also noted for its sporting achievements and the school song "Our Shining Alma Mater" is often performed by students at sporting events. The lyrics of the song where composed by distinguished Irish songwriter Phil Coulter, whose six children attended the school. The main school games are rugby and hockey. Depending on the school term, St. Gerard’s may provide tennis, athletics archery, fencing, basketball, soccer, cross-country, badminton, golf and softball. Students are encouraged to enter local and national competitions in Science, Business Studies, Irish, Home Economics and Economics, English and many others. Other activities include debating, public speaking, choir, educational trips, equestrian events, sailing, the annual musical, charity fund-raising and visits from distinguished speakers in various subjects and in careers.
==History==
John James founded St. Gerard’s school in 1918. He was born on November 11, 1883. His father was an Anglican minister and when he completed his BA degree in 1904 he converted to the Roman Catholic faith. His vision of education emphasised the dignity of each individual and the development of the whole person.〔http://www.stgerards.ie/senior-school/history/〕
